Case Management in the Light of Postmodern Collaborative Approach

The aim of this paper is to show some elements of postmodern collaborative practices that may respond to contemporary dillemmas in case management in social work. I start with a brief description of philosophical background of collaborative practices, its basic principles and applications. I describe case work in a similar way, including the context of its developments both internationally and in Czech Republic. Subsequently, I show possible connections of both approaches. I refer to drawbacks of case management identified by Cnaan (1994) and I describe possibilities of collaborative practices when addressing these drawbacks.
