Family: Between System and Home

The article focuses on a philosophical reflection on the issue of a family facing insecurity. It also attempts to critically analyze the traditional concept of the family as a system of functions, and in opposition to a reduction observed in functions (cf. Keller) it demonstrates the actual concept of a function as a source of uncertainty. The article basically compares two concepts of the family – a family as a set (system) of functions, on which social work relies, on the one hand, and the family as home (cf. Hogenová).
