Possible Solutions of Long-term Unemployment Through Voluntary Activities


Abstract:

The contribution aims to possibilities of improving employability and employment long term unemployed people through voluntary activities. The first part is focused on causes and consequences of long-term unemployment and possible solutions. The second part pays attention to volunteering as way of improving employment of unemployed people. It presents empirical findings on this topic in foreign countries and in Slovakia and international project Volunteering – way to employment.
