Abstract:
OBJECTIVES: The text answers the question of what factors facilitate and what factors inhibit the involvement of fathers in family social work. THEORETICAL BASE: The problem is viewed from the perspective of social constructionism, gender-sensitive approaches, the CAPE conceptual model and Whole Family Approaches. METHODS: To answer the question the method of qualitative content analysis of peer-reviewed scientific articles was used. OUTCOMES: The results show that practitioner and organizational factors are likely to be decisive for the father’s involvement in parental interventions. SOCIAL WORK IMPLICATIONS: Based on the findings, further procedures have been proposed to promote involvement of fathers in social work and to focus further research.
