Abstract
The work is based on information about the foreign community or senior centres which offer a number of services and programmes to their clients. The text stresses above all the element of how seniors spend their leisure time. The work deals with the fact if seniors want a leisure-time centre in one particular residential area in Jihlava and if so, what programme should a centre like that offer. The community centres usually use volunteers as an important source in provision of centre running, that is why the work deals with this topic as well. Form of questionnaire was used for this research purpose. Datas were acquired from 204 quizees.
