The International Association of Schools of Social Work
The International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) is the worldwide association of schools of social work, other tertiary-level social work educational programs, and social work educators. IASSW promotes the development of social work education throughout the world, develops standards to enhance the quality of social work education, encourages international exchange, provides forums for sharing social work research and scholarship, and promotes human rights and social development through policy and advocacy activities.
The International Council on Social Welfare
The International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) is a non-governmental organization focused on advocacy, knowledge-building and technical assistance projects in various areas of social development carried out at the country level and internationally. It embraces the major issues of social development, becoming a global organization committed to improving human well-being. Establishing common ground on issues of international significance, and acting with partners, ICSW represents national and local organizations in more than 70 countries throughout the world working through its nine regional networks.
The International Federation of Social Workers
The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) is the global body for the profession. IFSW and its national members strive for social justice, human rights and inclusive, sustainable social development through the promotion of social work best practice and engagement in international cooperation. IFSW supports its 141 country members by providing a global voice for the profession.
The National Association of Social Workers
The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is a professional organization of social workers in the United States. NASW provides guidance, research, up to date information, advocacy, and other resources for its members and for social workers in general. Members of the NASW are also able to obtain malpractice insurance, members-only publications, discounts on other products and services, and continuing education.
