Position: Expert in social work in the prisons
Project: Supporting civil society to promote human rights and democratisation in Mongolian prisons
Place: Prague, Czech Republic/Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia Duration: Around 8 weeks (2 months) shared in 2 trips
Objectives of the project: To support and reinforce the training of the social workers working in the prisons of Mongolia and to train the teachers of the university.
Profile: Degree in social work – At least 5 years of experience of social work in the prisons – Capacities to work in a different social and cultural context – Adult training skills would be an asset – Strong capacities of adaptation and organisation – English language would be an asset
Duties and responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Head of Mission, the expert will: Participate in the creation of contents for the social workers of the Mongolian prisons by: Explaining the ethics and objectives of the social work in the prisons o Sharing her/his practical experiences and practices of social work in the prisons o Helping to develop a booklet about prison social work good practices o Answering technical questions from the different partners – Participate in the evaluation of the existing practices in the Mongolian prisons – Participate in the evaluation of the improvements that could be made in the scope of the project (considering the time limit, the learning capacities of the participants, the material available for the Mongolian social workers, etc.) – Write reports about the different activities implemented – Do other tasks required by the Head of Mission
Conditions: Transportation and hosting paid by the organisation + per diem of 35 Euros per day of mission + salary between 1250 et 1750 Euros per months according to experience.
